New Year's Adventures in Murmansk

You get to the hotel in Murmansk independently (it takes about 40 minutes). We recommend arriving no later than 6:00 p.m.

You will receive a report on the northern lights every day, and if, according to forecasts, this evening promises good chances, then we make a trip to catch the northern lights. In case of bad forecasts, the trip will be made the next day. Time shall be discussed on the day of the trip, but not earlier than 7:00 p.m.

Along the route, you will be accompanied by experienced guides and professional photographers. After 3 days, you will receive 3 individual photos and one group photo.

If you plan to photograph yourself, be sure to bring a tripod.

Breakfast: from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

At 10:00 a.m.: a tour to Teriberka to the coast of the Arctic Ocean. Duration: 8 hours.

During the trip, you will learn about and see the Arctic tundra, walk along the ocean coast, and try snowmobile sledging to the stone beach. After sledging, you will taste northern tea made of cloudberry and reindeer lichen with local pastries. You will also visit the sandy bay and the stone beach called 'Dinosaur Eggs', see the ship graveyard and the old Pomor village. If you're lucky, you can see whales and the northern lights.

Return to Murmansk. Approximately at 6:00—7:00 p.m.

Upon request, we additionally arrange dinner. Try Arctic dishes: venison, seafood, products made from berries, mushrooms and reindeer lichen.

Breakfast: from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

A trip to the Sami village to meet the indigenous people and animals of the North. Reindeer sledding and winter banana rides are provided.

The start of the programme in the Sami village is subject to availability, options: 10:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Duration: 3 hours. Lunch in the village: fish soup, northern herb tea, local bread.

Return to Murmansk.
